Since 1810 Germans have celebrated this "End of Summer/Beginning of Fall" event with dancing, eating, and more importantly, drinking beer. Lots and lots of beer. From the early 19th century until the late 20th century the beer served was a style called "Marzen", which is an amber lager full of aromas and flavors of toasted bread, light dried fruits, and herbaceous hops with a relatively light and dry finish. The modern style is "Festbier", which is lighter in color with more crisp flavors, featuring cracker-like malts, lightly-sweet flavors and a crisp more hop-accented finish. Both styles are made by many breweries around the world though, so we're giving you BOTH. 12% ABV | One of the world's most highly-regarded Imperial Stouts aged in rye whiskey barrels, this ode to midnight is loaded with vanilla and spice notes. Flavors of dark dried fruits, rye whiskey spiciness, and soft smooth alcohol warmth in a giant roast-bomb of a beer.
